About Catherine Gammon:

Catherine Gammon’s new collection of stories is The Gunman and the Carnival from Baobab Press. Catherine is author of the novels The Martyrs, The Lovers (2023), China Blue (2021), Sorrow (2013), and Isabel Out of the Rain (1991). Her earlier story collection is Beauty and the Beast (2012). Her work has received support from the NEA, NYFA, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, among many others. Before beginning residential Zen training in California in 2001, she taught at the University of Pittsburgh, and she lives again in Pittsburgh, with her garden and her cat.

About Sherrie Flick:

Sherrie Flick is a senior lecturer in the MFA and food studies programs at Chatham University and a freelance writer and editor. She received a 2023 Creative Development Award from the Heinz Endowments and a Writing Pittsburgh fellowship from the Creative Nonfiction Foundation. One of the essays in Homing, her essay collection forthcoming from University of Nebraska Press, was listed as notable in The Best American Essays 2023. Flick is the author of Thank Your Lucky Stars: Short Stories, Whiskey, Etc.: Short (Short) Stories, and Reconsidering Happiness: A Novel. Autumn House Press will publish a new collection of her stories in 2025.
