Born and raised in Pennsylvania Helen Stefanick completed her first novel, I Wrote the Ticket to My Own Success while she continued working as a nurse during the Covid-19 pandemic. Writing became an emotional relief and a personal happy place. I Wrote the Ticket to My Own Success started its journey years ago, in the 1980s, but the novel was put aside so Helen could prioritize her nursing career and family. The manuscript was hidden in the attic unfinished until Helen's daughter, Ivana, encouraged her to continue and "finish what was started as she was taught." Thus, the book was completed after all those years.

Trust Never Follows the Heart was written quite differently, purely from Helen's joy of writing.
