Join poet Paola Corso for a virtual reading from her latest book, Vertical Bridges: Poems and Photographs of City Steps, published last year by Six Gallery Press as a tribute to the immigrants who built Pittsburgh’s city steps and the steel workers who climbed them to commute to the mill.
Joining her will be Pittsburgh documentary photographer Tim Fabian and steps-activist Joe Balaban sharing their insights about one of America’s most unique architectural landmarks — the more than 800 sets of “city steps” linking neighborhoods across Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The free online program is co-sponsored by Battle of Homestead Foundation and Riverstone Books. Viewers must register at www.eventbrite.com.
